On behalf of the entire staff at Music for All, congratulations and welcome to the 2010 Music for All National Festival presented by Yamaha. This year's Festival includes the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival and the Middle School National Music Festival. We are pleased to have you join us in Indianapolis next March as we continue striving to create, provide and expand positively life-changing experiences through music for all.

This letter accompanies your Festival binder, which will be your guide to the Festival. A Festival binder has also been sent to the Booster listed on your original application. The binder contains important forms and information to review, as well as a schedule of deadlines that will aid you in preparing for the Festival.

Familiarization Trip
The required familiarization trip will occur on Sunday, November 15, 2009. On Saturday, November 14, there will be a welcome lunch gathering at 1:30 pm at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. If you are unable to attend this luncheon, your familiarization trip packet will be available at the front desk of your respective hotel upon check in. The FAM tour begins Sunday morning with breakfast and concludes by 3:00 p.m. When making flight arrangements please plan to depart Indianapolis no earlier than 5:00 p.m. Sunday. A bus will take you to the airport at the end of the FAM trip if desired. More information about the FAM trip will be communicated prior to your arrival in Indianapolis.

The familiarization trip is an excellent time for you to ask questions about the Festival and tour the hotels and performance venues. You will also be given a performance schedule so you may continue to plan your trip accordingly.

Performance Venues
We are pleased to announce the following outstanding performance halls utilized for the 2010 Music for All National Festival:

• Clowes Memorial Hall (National Concert Band Festival Invited Ensembles)
• Performance venue information for the Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, Middle School National Music Festival and "additional" ensembles is forthcoming.

Please review the schedule of deadlines in your binder as this will assist in your upcoming deadlines. Also, please pay special attention to the program book section on page two of the schedule of deadlines. Bringing an Additional Ensemble
As you plan your trip to Indianapolis we encourage you to consider making the Music for All National Festival an experience for your entire program. Information and requirements for additional ensembles to participate are enclosed in your Festival Binder. All of the paperwork and forms contained in this binder are also available for download on our website. To access these documents, go to and click on the "DIRECTORS" menu on the left side of the page. Here you will find a link to our downloadable forms.

Although this notebook has been mailed to you please note that our future communications, including schedules and additional paperwork, will be emailed to you, and only mailed upon request. We will email you a draft Festival schedule in January and final paperwork in February. In addition we will email you periodically to request any overdue forms.
